Having played her last three seasons in Kanata most recently the Lady Senators U15 AA team, Daron Donovan is a right- handed defensemen for the U18 AA RSL Thunder. Daron is a determined and dedicated student, who attends St. Mary Catholic High School, in her hometown of Brockville, Ontario. Daron is currently and in the past, succeeded in all her classes with averages consistently above 90%. Daron continues to keep her options open for various careers in the future, especially those in the medical field. On the ice, Daron is a team player, great communicator, solid defensemen, but also one to jump up offensively. Daron is effectively able to read the play, but is also not afraid to block a shot or be physical. In her free time, Daron participates in various other school sports ( volleyball, softball, golf, etc…) as well as many other activities such as travelling, skiing, and water sports with friends and family. Daron has a reliable work ethic, which is not only used on the ice, but at her job as a Starbucks barista and various farm and landscaping duties. Daron has been playing hockey for a total of 8 years in different associations to challenge her abilities. On and off the ice, Daron is teachable, dedicated, and positive in all environments. She believes that the key to a successful team is one of teammates that work hard together, but most importantly have fun together.
