Ava Greaves is 5’7” and plays centre for the Rideau St. Lawrence U18AA team. Ava is 17 and a grade 12 Academic Honour Roll Student at Thousand Islands Secondary School in Brockville, Ontario. She works hard at her studies and aspires to attend University to study Criminology. Ava works part-time on her family Dairy Farm. Outside of hockey, Ava excels at Track and Field (long jump, 100 meter and relay) and has broken Upper Canada Cup records. Ava began her hockey career at age 5 and has been to many high caliber tournaments including Provincials 5 times. Ava has led most of her teams in goals and assists over the years. Before COVID Ava was top 3 in the Ottawa league for goals and assists and was top 8 in the Province. She is a great playmaker and can clearly see the ice and know when it's best to shoot or make a great pass. Ava has an incredibly hard work ethic and is able to keep her head in the game at all times. She never quits trying until the end and has the ability to keep her cool in most situations no matter how intense the game gets. Ava has been an asset to many teams over the years due to her adaptability as a team player and her unwavering strength, both physically and mentally.
